Every September, Cincinnati becomes a music lover’s paradise when the Midpoint Music Fest takes over the streets of downtown.
The festival boasts that it’s the place to discover contemporary music and find the next big thing, and nearly thirty thousand people attend annually.
This year acts take to the stage on September 23 and 24, and include:
The Cactus Blossoms
Brothers Jack and Page, better known as The Cactus Blossoms, entertain with Americana, western swing, and country tunes. They like taking music from another era and making it their own and will perform songs from their new album You’re Dreaming.
Cincinnati native Rachel Mousie began playing and writing music while in college. Considered an indie-pop artist with R&B and jazz influences, her music features light but meaningful piano parts looped with vocal harmonies and percussive rhythms. She takes inspiration from artists such as Joan Osborne and Norah Jones, and her third album of original music drops in the fall.
Edward & Jane
Chattanooga’s own Edward & Jane is an Americana family band comprised of Timothy “Edward” Carpenter and Emilie “Jane” Creutzinger and their talented bandmates. They’re influenced by artists such as The Lone Bellow and strive to inspire and connect their audiences in a way that only music can. They enjoy sharing their stories through song and are known for their lively performances.
