Cincinnati Zoo

Have You Been to the Cincinnati Zoo and Botanical Gardens Lately?

The Drexel At Oakley is a great place to live because there’s so much to see and do in the surrounding areas. One place that has something for everyone is the Cincinnati Zoo and Botanical Gardens.

You’ll love the variety of amphibians and fish, birds, invertebrates, mammals, and reptiles. And your eyes will rejoice at seeing the shrubs, trees, perennials, and bulbs, in all their fascinating colors.

Now that the weather has warmed up, why not take another visit to one of these local favorites?

Here are some of the upcoming special events.

Breakfast With The Animals

Until September 12, you can enjoy a full breakfast buffet, including mimosas, while you get more acquainted with some of the zoo’s larger animals.

Elephants, hippos, gorillas, lions, and more will wake up and enjoy their treats, then interact with visitors through a floor to ceiling glass. Zookeepers will provide background information about the species as well as personal anecdotes about the zoo’s animals.

Tickets quantities are limited for these special events.

Horticulture Events

The Botanical Gardens features are many and varied. So visitors don’t necessarily have to figure things out for themselves. Scheduled horticulture events include guided hikes, native plant symposiums, and more. You can enjoy the 24-acre wetlands and 100-acre organic farm, including birds and other wildlife.

They also have regular plant sales so you can take home a piece of nature.

When Is A Good Time To Visit?

Whether you prefer the Zoo area, the Botanical Gardens, or both, there is something to do all year long! In other words, you don’t need to wait for a special event to go soak in the awesome sights and sounds of nature.

But nobody likes getting lost at places! So for your convenience, they have a free smartphone app that connects you to convenient features to help you better enjoy your visit, including a GPS-enabled interactive map.

Before you go, be sure to check out their schedule here. Even if you have been to the zoo and botanical gardens many times, you are always in for a nice treat.
