If you’re like me and you like baseball (and trust me, I like baseball), they you’re going to want to catch a home game at the Great American Ball Park this season as our boys in the Reds defend their title of 2010 National League Central Division Champions.
We played some great games last season, and this year, with your support, the Reds can do even better. The Reds will be playing the Florida Marlins from Friday, April 29th through Sunday, May 1st, and then the Houston Astros from Monday May 2nd through Wednesday, May 4th.
Shortly after we started last season (mid-April), the Reds broke even, taking two games out of four (2-2) against the Marlins. It wasn’t until much later in the season (mid-August) that the Reds went 3-0, and wrought decisive victories against the Marlins.
Our games against the Astros were a great deal more complex, than those against the Marlins. During our first two sets of games, we started off strong, taking 3-0 and 2-1 over the Astros. By this point in the season, the Astros had started to gain some traction against us. The Reds fought against them, taking 2-1 (in late July). We started losing ground in mid-September, taking 1-2, and regaining ground over the Astros in late Sept. going 2-1.
I’m hoping that we kept whatever leverage we gained over the Marlins and Astros last season, and then gained some this season!
The Great American Ball Park is conveniently less than a 15 minute drive from the Drexel at Oakley Apartments.
Don’t miss out on catching the 2010 National League Central Division Champs play on their home turf against the Florida Marlins and the Houston Astros this late April and early May. Get your tickets before they’re gone!
